American’s Women’s Group Boycotts World Famous Lady!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
(New York, New York)—On Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, at 8:00 AM, a huddled mass yearning for justice and equality will gather at Liberty State Park (Freedom Field) to show support for the “Lady Liberty Boycott” sparked-off by The Equal Balance Movement.com.
“We believe the overtime clock has run out on the promise for fairness and equality. With this win-at-all-cost boycott, we want the world to know how the women of America are being treated in the workplace,” says Melody Hudson, The Equal Balance Movement.com’s Founder.
“Women, of every ethnicity, are being paid less than their male counterparts for the exact same work. Year after year, promises are made and promises are broken. What will it take for America to treat women equally? What has to happen for America to balance the scales of justice for all women? When will America wake up and see that fair pay and equality for women are not luxuries dished out in hotel suites or smoky backrooms by industry leaders,” says Hudson.
According to the US Census Bureau, for every [one] dollar a man earns, a woman doing the same job, with the same qualifications and experience earns between 54-80 cents.
“Armed with this harsh reality, millions of American women will faithfully go to work today, tomorrow and beyond (and work just as hard if not harder) than their male counterparts for a lesser paycheck. We just don’t think that’s a fair deal and we want to change it. This exploitation cycle will continue unless we [all] rally together, lift our voices and influence to make a changed society,” says Monica Simmons, The Equal Balance Movement.com’s Co-Founder.
Millions of people consider the Statue Of Liberty (Lady Liberty) one of the most recognized women in the world. Liberty Enlightening The World has a meaning suitable for times like these. UNESCO says, “Its a masterpiece of the human spirit that endures as a highly potent symbol—inspiring contemplation, debate and protest—of ideals such as liberty, peace, human rights, abolition of slavery, democracy and opportunity.”
“We are taking our marching orders from historic movements like the Birmingham (Alabama) bus boycott and the United Farm Workers (UFW) boycott. The women of America are fired-up and ready to go,” says Hudson.
When Emma Lazarus wrote, “…Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breath free…” “We don’t think that in a million years she would have imagined that those tired, poor huddled masses would be the underpaid women of this America,” Hudson says.
And so. . .
The “Lady Liberty Boycott” officially begins on UN Day Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at 8:00 AM. “We want no woman to visit the Statue Of Liberty (Lady Liberty) until all women in America are paid equally!” We will boycott and tell women around the world to do the same.
“America must learn that both men and women-unencumbered by race, religion or sex-must, shall and will be compensated equally.”
“We are all for one and one for all! Our sisterhood bond will not be broken,” says Simmons.
